Dear Parents, we are happy to serve you and help you to help your children walk on their journey of faith together with you as a family!
Family Formation 1st-5th Grade
Parents will join their children – first in a large group presentation of each lesson. Then they will lead their own family at tables with the help of catechists.
… Family catechesis precedes, accompanies, and enriches other forms of instruction in the faith. Parents have the mission of teaching their children to pray and to discover their vocation as children of God. The parish is the Eucharistic community and the heart of the liturgical life of Christian families; it is a privileged place for the catechesis of children and parents…

Middle School Faith Formation 6th-8th Grade
Middle school youth will meet in one large group, led by catechists who will teach the lesson in a large group, then teach in small groups by grade level. Parents will meet separately in our Encounter program. Please see the description of our Encounter program below.
High School Faith Formation
Two-year Confirmation 9th – 12th Grade
Youth in grade 9-12 will meet for Confirmation Preparation in one large group taught by the lead teacher, then break out into Year I and Year II small groups, led by classroom assistants and small group leaders. Parent Faith Formation: Our Encounter Program
Guardian Angels recognizes that living a life of faith in the family is a challenge in our time, place ant culture. Considering your God-given influence on your children and youth as a parent, we recognize your need to learn your faith and grow in it in an enjoyable, friendly, and supportive environment. We offer a great opportunity to learn, pray, and grow that we call Encounter
We call it Encounter because we want you to be able to encounter our Lord Jesus in a fresh, new, and personal way that truly makes a difference in your life. Our Encounter parent’s group will meet together while your children in Grades 6 and above meet separately. (Parents of children in grades 1-5 will meet in family formation as described above.) In this program we will pray, reflect upon our previous week, receive a short presentation on an aspect of our faith, discuss the presentation at tables, and pray for one another. We know that you will enjoy this because other parents already have!
Parents have the first responsibility for the education of their children. They bear witness to this responsibility first by creating a home where tenderness, forgiveness, respect, fidelity, and disinterested service are the rule. The home is well suited for education in the virtues. This requires an apprenticeship in self-denial, sound judgement, and self-mastery – the preconditions of all true freedom… — Catechism of the Catholic Church, no. 2223
