Dear parents,
Our faith teaches us that baptism is the doorway to eternal life. It is the doorway to belonging in God’s family as God’s son or daughter in his household. It is the moment in which your child is washed clean of original sin and given this new life with God which begins now and lasts to eternity. For these reasons I have always been fond of saying that the day of baptism is the greatest day in a person’s life.
